California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor AT&T Scheduled Maintenance, February 6, 2020| 12:01 AM – 6:00 AM
To the County CWS SPOC and Technical Contact in Mariposa County:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Monday, February 10, 2020, beginning at 12:01 AM and concluding at 7:00 AM. Users at the listed sites will experience multiple thirty-minute interruptions in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

CARES-Live Release 2.8 January 22, 2020| 5:00PM – 10:00PM
To all SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The CWS-CARES team has scheduled release activity that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The release activity will begin at 5:00pm. on January 22, 2019 and conclude at 10:00pm. During this scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.
Release Description
CARES-Live Release 2.8 is scheduled for release to all CARES-Live users on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. The CARES-Live 2.8 release will implement a new message queue solution for sending legacy changes from CWS/CMS to CARES-Live. While CARES-Live users will not directly see any changes, these changes are expected to provide several efficiencies to CARES-Live to improve its overall performance.
The CARES-Live Release 2.8 Release Notes describes the details of the release. Counties can access the CARES-Live Release Notes for CARES-Live 2.8 on the CWDS website at https://cwds.ca.gov/release_notes

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance January 11, 2020 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM
All SPOC’s and Technical Contacts:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. There will be no access to the CARES-Live application during the maintenance window.

California Department of Technology Major Incident Status – Latency in Network – RESTORED
To all CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) reported an issue with network latency. This impacted Citrix, internet access, and other resources. There were no reports received of impacts to accessing the CWS/CMS or CWS-CARES applications.
Just prior to CWDS sending out the original report to counties, an update was received stating that the issue had been resolved. There will be no further updates for this incident.
