CARES-Live Customer Support Contact Change

To all SPOCs, Probation and Technical Contacts:

EFFECTIVE July 15, 2020 CARES-Live support inquiries should be directed to the CWDS Customer Relations email CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov

The CWDS Implementation team will be transitioning county support inquiries for the CARES-Live application to the CWDS Customer Relations team. The CWDS Implementation team will redirect their focus to begin planning activities in support of future CWS-CARES. Counties should redirect any email inquiries related to CARES-Live that they would of sent to the Implementation Mailbox to the CWDS Customer Relations Mailbox CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov.Counties should continue to send any Implementation specific inquiries to the Implementation Mailbox CWDSImplementation@osi.ca.gov.Problems or issues related to CARES-Live should continue to be sent to the CARES-Live Service desk at Servicedesk@cwds.ca.gov.
For CARES-Live demo request, counties should continue to direct those request to CARES-Live@osi.ca.gov.

Action Required
Effective July 15, 2020 Counties should redirect any CARES-Live inquiries to the Customer Relations email at CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – WAN Router Operating System Update July 12, 2020| 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM

To all County CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Sunday, July 12, 2020, beginning at 02:00 AM and concluding at 05:00 AM.  Because the maintenance is being performed on a redundant path, CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES users are not expected to be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.  This bulletin is being shared as an ‘FYI only’ in the unlikely case an issue does arise.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

Action Required
FYI only.  No action for CWS/CMS or CWS-CARES is expected.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Sunday, June 14, 2020, beginning at 01:00 AM and concluding at 04:00 AM.  Because the maintenance is being performed on a redundant path, CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES users are not expected to be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.  This bulletin is being shared as an ‘FYI only’ in the unlikely case an issue does arise.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance May 22, 2020| 12:01 AM – 6:00 AM

To the CWS SPOC and Technical Contact in Colusa County:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Friday, May 22, 2020 beginning at 12:01 AM and concluding at 6:00 AM.  Users at the listed sites will experience a fifteen-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

New Event Calendar Page on the CWDS Website

To all CWS and Probation SPOCs, Training and Technical Contacts:

Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS) is pleased to announce that the Event Calendar information on the CWS/CMS Website will be migrated to the cwds.ca.gov website on Monday, May 11, 2020.   This new page was developed after receiving feedback from pilot counties.  Currently, CWDS maintains three (3) websites that provide valuable resources to CWS social workers, probation officers and county technical staff.  The goal is to consolidate those multiple websites into CWDS website.  Migration of the Event Calendar page to the CWDS Website is part of that ongoing effort.

Access the new Calendar Events page at https://cwds.ca.gov under the Follow Our Progress tab.

 

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance April 30, 2020 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

To all SPOC’s and Technical Contacts:

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.
