CARES-Live 2.7.1 Production Release Child Welfare History Snapshot Hotfix | November 21, 2019 06:00PM – 07:00PM

To all SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 21, 2019 CARES-Live 2.7.1 PRODUCTION RELEASE IS SCHEDULED TO MOVE INTO PRODUCTION.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled release activity that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The release activity will begin at 06:00PM on Thursday, November 21, 2019 and conclude at 07:00PM. During this scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

CHILD WELFARE HISTORY SNAPSHOT

The Manage Users functionality within CARES 2.7 experienced performance issues when County and State Admins tried to search for existing users or edit existing users in CARES- Live. The solution to this performance issue was two-fold:

  • Removed the Change Log history line items from the initial Manage Users Screen and
  • Reduced the number of Change Log history line items when viewing a specific User Profile to 20, ensuring reliable performance.

Portal Administrators should not experience any further latency issues on CARES-Live.

Action Required

If users experience any issues with CARES-Live, please follow your county process for reporting issues or you may contact the CARES Service Desk at 1-855-292-3444.

Coming Soon: Another CARES-Live User Bulk Load Opportunity

To all CWS and Probation SPOCs:

As mentioned on the last CWS-CARES Implementation call held Wednesday, October 23rd, the Project is offering to conduct another round of user bulk loads. During this round we are offering to give access to any or all CARES-Live features as your organization sees appropriate (CANS, Facility Search, and Snapshot). The process will be the same as the Statewide roll out of Snapshot. The rollout schedule will be divided into three Waves. The only change in the rollout schedule is that the 12 Core County Constituents have been placed within one of the three Waves (see last column in the table below). Hopefully your organization experienced the benefit of the first user bulk load offering, particularly if you had a larger group of users that needed access. Further instructions will be sent to Implementation Coordinators. Thank you for your participation.
