CARE-Live Scheduled Outage on May 16, 2021| 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM

All County SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
CWS/CMS will be performing maintenance activities on Sunday, May 16, 2021. These activities will impact the CARES-Live application. The work is expected to begin at 1:00 AM and conclude at 7:00 AM. During this time, users will not have access to CARES-Live.
 
Action Required
If, after 7:00 AM, users continue to experience issues with CARES-Live, please follow your county process for reporting issues, or you may contact the CARES Service Desk at 1-855-292-3444 or via email at Servicedesk@cwds.ca.gov during normal business hours. Reported Multi-Factor Authentication Delay

All County SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
Multiple counties have reported an issue, when trying to access CARES-Live, with receiving the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) code in a timely manner. The delay in receiving this MFA code can prevent users from be able to access CARES-Live. The CARES-Live team is investigating this issue.
There is no current ETA of when this issue will be resolved. We will provide updates for this issue as they become available.

CARES-Live Training Environment Scheduled Maintenance - April 30, 2021| 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

All CWS and Probation SPOCs and Training Contacts:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Training Environment on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This scheduled maintenance is to upgrade the Training Environment to the CARES-Live 2.8.12 version. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.

CARES-Live 2.8.12 Production Release- April 22, 2021| 6:00PM – 10:00PM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
EFFECTIVE April 22, 2021 CARES-Live 2.8.12 RELEASE IS SCHEDULED TO MOVE INTO PRODUCTION.
The CARES-Live team has scheduled release activity that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The release activity will begin at 06:00PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021 and conclude at 10:00PM. During this scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.
CARES-Live 2.8.12:
The goal of this release is to provide fixes and maintenance needed in Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS).
CANS
  • Supervisor Dashboard – A new button titled ‘Download as CSV’ has been added to the Supervisor Dashboard.  This button once clicked will allow a user to export CANS Supervisor data to a CSV file for Excel  (Ticket #INC0019656). 
  • Status Discrepancy – The issue that caused ‘Completed’ and ‘In-Progress’ status discrepancies between the CANS Assessment History and Change Log for deleted CANS assessments has been resolved (Ticket #INC0019889 & INC0019892).  Assessment History and Change Log will now accurately display the assessment status.
  • CANS Assessment – An issue has been resolved that looked as if a deleted CANS assessment could be updated.  A deleted CANS assessment cannot be updated and users will now receive ‘HTTP 404 – Not Found’ error message when attempting to access an assessment that has been deleted (Ticket # INC0019955).
  • CANS Assessment – The issue of two (2) timestamped records displaying incorrectly in the Change Log for the deletion of a CANS assessment has been resolved.  Only one timestamp will now display in the Change Log (Ticket #INC0019861).

CARES-Live Scheduled Outage for Saturday, April 17, 2021| 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM

All CWS/Probation/CARES County SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
In support of the CWS/CMS Release 8.14, the CARES-Live team has scheduled an outage that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The outage is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance on April 10, 2021| 4:30 AM - 9:30 AM

SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
CDSS will be performing network maintenance activities on Saturday, April 10, 2021, that will impact the Facility Search functionality in the CARES-Live application. The work is expected to begin at 4:30 AM and conclude at 9:30 AM. During this time, users may encounter an error as the CALS API may not be able to connect to any of the back-end servers and databases.
 
Action Required

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin - CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance- April 7, 2021| 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM

CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts in Colusa County:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, beginning at 12:00 midnight and concluding at 6:00 AM.  Users at the listed site will experience a thirty-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – SBCS Infrastructure Upgrade- April 3, 2021| 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

County CWS and Probation SPOCs, Technical Contacts, and SBC Administrators:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Saturday, April 3, 2021, beginning at 6:00 AM and concluding at 10:00 AM.  During the maintenance window, CDT will upgrade the Server Based Computing Services (SBCS) infrastructure.  There is no anticipated outage for this maintenance; however, the CDT is asking that everyone log off from the Citrix SBC system, if not actively using it during the maintenance window.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching- March 26-27, 2021| 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers.  The patching window begins on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 06:00 AM.  The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the patching window.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application during the scheduled outage.
