California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – Network Core Switch Maintenance - POSTPONED
To All County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The Network Core Switch Maintenance scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2019, has been postponed until further notice. A communication will be sent out once the California Department of Technology (CDT) has decided on a new maintenance date.
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance activity to upgrade code on Core Network Switches. The maintenance window for this upgrade activity is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2019, beginning at 2:00 AM and concluding at 7:00 AM.
Although connectivity to CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES applications, Business Objects SAFE reports, and all three CWDS websites is not expected to be impacted due to redundancy, there is a small possibility that a service could be impacted if the redundant path occurs on the same switch. If this occurs, the impacted service could expect multiple 15-minute interruptions in connectivity during the maintenance window.
