On May 3, 2018, Kelly Hassenplug joined CWDS as the Project Administration Director on CWS-CARES Project. In this role, Kelly will lead the teams that focus on essential project support needs, such as the Project Management Office, Procurement & Contract Management, Stakeholder Relations and Communications.
Kelly has over 15 years’ experience in Project and Portfolio management, IT oversight and strategic planning. Most recently, she served as the Portfolio and Governance Chief for the California Health and Human Services (CHHS) Agency, Office of the Agency Information Officer (AIO). In this role, Kelly led a team that provides oversight and reporting to a multi-million dollar IT project portfolio that consists of over 60 projects. She also managed CHHS Governance activities for the purpose of integrating statewide technology initiatives while ensuring compliance with IT policies, standards, and the Agency Information Strategic Plan.
Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Please join us in welcoming Kelly to the team.
This week, the CWS-CARES Service Desk welcomed Heather Geyer to the team. Heather brings over 17 years of experience in operations and technology to the team of 24/7 service desk specialists. As a part of the Service Desk she will respond to and track incidents to ensure our user community has the support it needs.
Before joining the Service Desk, Heather worked for the University of California, Davis as a Software License Coordinator making decisions to identify and interpret business, campus, and organization-wide needs for computer software. Previously, she worked in IT as a network administrator, systems integrator and help desk support specialist.
Heather earned an A+ Certified Computer Technician certificate from the Business Technology Technical Institute, as well as an Associate of Science in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute.
