California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – Network Core Switch Maintenance October 6, 2019| 2:00 AM- 7:00 AM

To all County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance activity to upgrade code on Core Network Switches. The maintenance window for this upgrade activity is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2019, beginning at 2:00 AM and concluding at 7:00 AM.

Although connectivity to CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES applications, Business Objects SAFE reports, and all three CWDS websites is not expected to be impacted due to redundancy, there is a small possibility that a service could be impacted if the redundant path occurs on the same switch. If this occurs, the impacted service could expect multiple 15-minute interruptions in connectivity during the maintenance window.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CWS Firewall Upgrades: July 26, 2010| 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM

To all CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Friday, July 26, 2019, beginning at 05:00 AM and concluding at 07:00 AM. Users may experience a five-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the applications may also be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

CWS-CARES Scheduled Maintenance on July 27, 2019| 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

To all SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The CWS-CARES team has scheduled maintenance to the CWS-CARES application. The maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CWS-CARES team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CWS-CARES users. There will be no access to the CWS-CARES application during the maintenance window.

CWS-CARES Scheduled Maintenance on June 9, 2019| 07:30 PM – 09:30 PM

To all SPOC’s and Technical Contacts:

The CWS-CARES team has scheduled maintenance to the CWS-CARES application. The maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 07:30PM to 09:30PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CWS-CARES team will focus on application maintenance changes. During the maintenance window, CWS-CARES will be available to users. However, Client search won't work while accessing Intake (Snapshot) and CANS. Users will see an error message as banner "Something went wrong, sorry! Please try your last action again."

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance

To: CWS/CMS SPOC and Technical Contact in Alpine County:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance beginning on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:00 PM and concluding on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 7:00 AM. Users at the listed site may experience a nine-hour interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.
