The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Training Environment on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin - CGEN Vendor AT&T Scheduled Maintenance January 30-31, 2021| 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts in Santa Cruz and Tulare Counties:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance, beginning on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 9:00 PM, and concluding on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at 5:00 AM.  Users at the listed sites will experience an interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live for up to twenty-five minutes within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Firewall Replacement February 7, 2021| 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM

All County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance to replace the CalCloud firewall.  The maintenance window is scheduled for Sunday, February 7, 2021, beginning at 5:00 AM and concluding at 8:00 AM.  The firewall replacement activity will cause a 15-minute interruption in connectivity to the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the maintenance window.  The CWS/CMS and CARES-Live applications will not be impacted.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance, beginning on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 8:00 AM and concluding on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 12:00 midnight.  Users at the listed site will experience a one-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance December 22, 2020 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance on December 20, 2020| 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
CDSS will be performing network maintenance activities on Sunday, December 20, 2020 that will impact the Facility Search functionality in the CARES-Live application. The work is expected to begin at 5:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. During this time, users may encounter an error as the CALS API may not be able to connect to any of the back-end servers and databases.

CARES-Live Emergency Change – LIS Facility Data Refresh- UPDATE

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
CARES-Live Emergency Change: The LIS Data Refresh was successfully completed on December 9, 2020. The LIS and CARES-Live databases are now in sync. The previously missing LIS Facilities now appear in CARES-Live Facility Search.

The purpose of this communication is to inform counties that some LIS facilities may not appear when users perform a query in Facility Search. This appears to be caused by an issue with the CARES-Live and LIS databases being out of sync.
To remedy the issue an LIS facility data refresh is planned for Dec 9, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM and concluding at 9:00 PM. 
During this scheduled change window there will be no associated outage, the change will be seamless to CARES-Live users. CARES-Live users can continue to access the CARES-Live application during this time.
