CARES-Live Training Environment Scheduled Maintenance - September 3, 2021| 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

ALL SPOCs and Training Contacts:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Training Environment on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This scheduled maintenance is to upgrade the Training Environment to the CARES-Live 2.8.15 version. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.
 
Action Required

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance on September 6, 2021| 12:00 AM – 3:00 AM

ALL SPOCs and Technical Contacts: 
CDSS will be performing database maintenance activities on Monday, September 6, 2021, that will impact the Facility Search functionality in the CARES-Live application. The work is expected to begin at 12:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 AM. During this time, users may encounter an error when performing searches in Facility Search as the CALS API may not be able to connect to any of the back-end servers and databases.
 
Action Required
If after 3:00 AM, users continue to experience issues with Facility Search, please follow your county process for reporting issues, or you may contact the CARES Service Desk at 1-855-292-3444 or via email at Servicedesk@cwds.ca.gov during normal business hours. California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching - August 27-28| 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

ALL SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers.  The patching window begins on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 06:00 AM.  The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the patching window.

Scheduled Outage of CWS/CMS and CARES-Live, July 25, 2021| 4:00 AM – 7:00 AM

ALL CWS/Probation/CARES SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) will upgrade network switches during the scheduled Network Preventative Maintenance (PM) window on Sunday, July 25, 2021. The upgrade window begins at 4:00 AM and concludes at 7:00 AM.
The CWS/CMS application and the CARES-Live application will be unavailable for between fifteen to thirty minutes within the upgrade window. Access to CWS/CMS and CARES‑Live via Server Based Computing (SBC) and VPN will also be unavailable during this window.

CARES-Live Scheduled Outage for Saturday, July 17, 2021| 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM

In support of the CWS/CMS Release 8.15, the CARES-Live team has scheduled an outage that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The outage is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application during the scheduled outage.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance will begin on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 6:00 PM and conclude on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 9:00 AM. During this scheduled maintenance, the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. There is no anticipated impact to CARES-Live users during the maintenance window. The changes should be transparent to CARES-Live users.
