CARES-Live Emergency Change – LIS Facility Data Refresh- December 9, 2020| 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The purpose of this communication is to inform counties that some LIS facilities may not appear when users perform a query in Facility Search. This appears to be caused by an issue with the CARES-Live and LIS databases being out of sync.
To remedy the issue an LIS facility data refresh is planned for Dec 9, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM and concluding at 9:00 PM. 
During this scheduled change window there will be no associated outage, the change will be seamless to CARES-Live users. CARES-Live users can continue to access the CARES-Live application during this time.

CARES-Live Training Environment Scheduled Maintenance December 4, 2020| 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

All CWS and Probation SPOCs, Training Contacts, CARES-Live Training Administrators and Coordinators:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Training Environment on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.

Action Required

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance on December 5, 2020| 11:00 PM – December 6, 2020| 11:00 AM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
CDT and CDSS will be performing maintenance activities starting on Saturday December 5, 2020 at 11:00 PM through Sunday December 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM. During the scheduled outage, users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – Storage Migration of SBCS Clustered Servers- Saturday, November 21, 2020| 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM

All SBC Users:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled SAN upgrade activities during the SBCS Preventative Maintenance Window, on Saturday, November 21, 2020, beginning at 07:00 AM and concluding at 08:30 AM. The SAN upgrade will cause a disruption or degradation in Citrix Services for approximately one hour during the maintenance.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, beginning at 8:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 noon.  Users at the listed site will experience a one-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance, beginning on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 12:00 AM and concluding at 6:00 AM.  Users at the listed sites will experience a twenty minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers.  The patching window begins on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 06:00 AM.  The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the patching window.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin CGEN Vendor AT&T Scheduled Maintenance, Friday, October 30, 2020 | 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM

All County CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts in San Benito, Santa Clara, and Tulare:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on specific routers in the AT&T MPLS network. The scheduled outage will begin on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 12:00 AM and conclude at 6:00 AM. Customers will experience an outage for up to 20 minutes during the AT&T maintenance window.
