Q: Will we be able to denote a case as guardian (non-manual entry) to make for easier data aggregation?

A: Child Welfare Services-California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) is introducing the following three new case types for guardianships:
  • Non-related legal guardian from probate court.
  • Non-related legal guardian from dependency court.
  • Relative guardian.
This will allow for the collection of aggregate data.
