Q: How does the Expected End Date field on the AD 4320 form auto-populate, and does it change if the form is completed to extend benefits?
A: The AD 4320 Expected End Date does auto-populate to the child's 18th birthday. AD 4320s that are completed to extend benefits would auto-pop to the child's 21st birthday.
Q: Would time study for staff be integrated into CWS-CARES?
A: Time study will not be in CWS-CARES Version 1 (CARES V1).
Q: How will CWS-CARES get the Aid Codes for the cases?
A: Aid Codes information comes directly from CalSAWS.
Q: Can additional addresses be added to an Office in CWS-CARES?
A: Yes, additional addresses can be added to an office.
Q: What is the process for administrators transferring a worker from one office and unit to another where the worker will retain their existing caseload?
A: A user must be added to the new unit in the new office and then end dated from the previous office. The bulk transfer process can then be used to move the entire caseload.
Q: Will the transfer of data from County Expense Claim Reporting Information System (CECRIS) into CWS-CARES be after the files are audited/approved by CDSS? Will CWS-CARES also receive revised CECRIS Claims?
A: CWS-CARES will receive both the unaudited and audited Original claims approved by the state as federal reporting requires both. CWS-CARES will also receive the approved Adjustment claims. The interface data exchange with CECRIS occurs on a monthly basis. This data will be sent once CECRIS has received all prior to audit claims for each county OR when all audited claims have been approved by CDSS (i.e., when all Original claims have been approved by CDSS, all approved Original claims for each county will be sent to CWS-CARES at once).
Q: Will County Expense Claim Reporting Information System (CECRIS) be integrated with CWS-CARES?
A: Yes, in CARES V1, the CECRIS Integration will pull DFA600 data one-way from CECRIS to CWS-CARES. All CECRIS data in CWS-CARES will be read-only; users will not be able to edit/change this data in CWS-CARES.
Q: Will you be able to see if a child has Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Fee for Service or Managed Care Medi-Cal, and what health provider they have?
A: Medi-Cal is not being tracked in CARES V1, and CARES V2 scope is not yet available.
Q: Will CWS-CARES be directly posting expenses into the CEC or is it just able to read information after a claim has been submitted?
A: All data received from CECRIS will be read-only in CWS-CARES.
Q: What are examples of External Workers in CWS-CARES?
A: Examples of External Workers are Probation and Family First Prevention Services Acf (FFPSA) Workers.
