Q: Where will SafeMeasures data be pulled from during the CWS-CARES Version 1 (CARES V1) Production Pilot?
A: The project is evaluating the feasibility of SafeMeasures data in CWS-CARES for pilot. Regardless, all historic SafeMeasures data will continue to be accessible on the SafeMeasures site. Currently, SafeMeasures data is planned to be available in CWS-CARES V1 Go-Live in October 2026.
Q: Will Hispanic or Latino ethnicity details be a primary/mandatory field in CWS-CARES?
A: Hispanic or Latino details will be a primary/mandatory field for ethnicities. If “yes” is indicated for Hispanic or Latino Ethnicity, then Hispanic or Latino Ethnicity Details can be selected. Otherwise, the details field is not applicable.
Q: Where in CWS-CARES can workers document a relative's contact history and chosen level of involvement with a child?
A: Family information in the Person Profile screen is documented under the 'Relationships' record found in the left navigation, where you can document familial and professional relationships between two persons. Specific information regarding a relative's involvement with a focus child can be found under Family Finding on Search Efforts within a case.
Q: Will Enhanced Case Management the referenced form somehow be addressed/supported in CWS-CARES?
A: Version 1 of CWS-CARES will support existing functionality in CWS/CMS. New legislative mandates will be addressed in CWS-CARES version 2 and beyond.
Q: Our current employee ID is being used as a username that is tied to the SDM and SafeMeasures profiles, which then ties all the referenced formation together. Will those still be tied together in CWS-CARES?
A: Yes, CWS-CWS-CARES data will interface between SDM and SafeMeasures, which will tie the systems together by email addresses of users.
Q: Can both Supervisors and Administrators transfer caseloads?
A: Yes, Supervisors and Administrators can both transfer caseloads.
Q: Will we be able to maintain the workload history if an entire office is relocated?
A: If the office is relocated and the county updates the address workload history, then the workload history should be maintained and remain the same.
Q: In the screening module, can you indicate if the referral for abuse is evaluated out?
A: Yes, Evaluate Out is one of the Response Types in the Screening flow.
Q: Will CWS-CARES interface with Binti?
A: Binti is not an approved interface for CWS-CARES V1. CWS-CARES V1 will include complete RFA functionality.
Q: Can training cohorts that finish before the forms environment is released begin building their forms in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Design tool, and how will those forms migrate into an environment?
A: The Project recognizes the need for the training environment to be available and is working to provide the tools and platform to users as soon as possible. This item is actively in progress, and the Project will provide an update once the environment is available.
