For example, if a document such as a Court report is deleted, how far back will CWS-CARES be able to track when it was deleted? Will it be able to identify who performed the action? Will CWS-CARES be able to retrieve the original Court report?
A: Deleted data (including Court Reports) can be retrieved from the Salesforce platform by users for up to 15 days, and you can view details on who deleted it. After 15 days, system administrators can recover deleted data at any time.
Q: Will CWS-CARES include a field to for an Attorney's State Bar Number (SBN)?
A: Yes, CWS-CARES will include a field for an Attorney's State Bar Number (SBN) on the attorney profile.
Q: What pathways will CARES include for Tribal Customary Adoption?
A: Specifically for Indian children we have the following pathways covered in CWS-CARES:
- Tribal Customary Adoption of an Indian Child who is a Dependent of the Juvenile Court
- Voluntary Relinquishment of an Indian Child who is a Dependent of the Juvenile Court
- Tribal Customary Adoption of a Non-Minor Dependent Indian Young Adult who is a Dependent of the Juvenile Court
Q: Will there be a way for Child Welfare Services-California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) to translate court documents or case documents into Spanish (e.g., Spanish Forms), and will there be English to Spanish language translation capability in the CARES System?
A: Current Child Welfare Services/Case Management System (CWS/CMS) Spanish forms and templates will be available in Child Welfare Services-California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) V1. Please note that while there are pre-built Case Plan and Case Plan Family Assessment forms in Spanish in CWS/CMS, there is no translation capability for items entered by workers.
