Q: What will replace the CWS/CMS "Delivered Service Log" in CWS-CARES?

A: The CWS/CMS Delivered Service Log will be replaced by Contact Logs in CWS-CARES, which serve a similar purpose.

Q: Will the forms that the state is migrating be available in CWS-CARES once Pilot begins?

A: Yes, all statewide forms developed by the state and identified as in-scope for CARES V1 will be available in CWS-CARES at the start of the Pilot phase. A detailed list of these statewide forms can be found in the CWS-CARES Forms Tracker, located in the CWS-CARES Forms Workgroup Teams Channel. Q: Will CWS-CARES include any features that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) tools?

A: There are currently no plans to incorporate AI functionality into CWS-CARES.

Q: Will CWS-CARES allow entry of extended relatives — such as great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles — in the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) section?

A: Yes, CWS-CARES includes relationship modifiers up to the great-great-great level.

Q: Will caseworkers and supervisors receive a reminder in CARES-Live or SafeMeasures when an Integrated Practice Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (IP-CANS) assessment is due?

A: Yes. A "Reassessment Due Date" reminder will appear on the user's CANS Dashboard in CARES-Live. Users will receive this reminder when they have one month left before the six-month CANS deadline.

Q: Does Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) include skip logic capability?

A: Skip logic is achievable in AEM XDP using scripting. The user will see an in-line edit screen in CWS-CARES when they try to generate the document. However, skip logic cannot be achieved using a Word template only.

Q: What Financial Management functionality will be included in CARES V1, and what has been deferred to a later release?

A: The CWS-CARES V1 Scope Summary, available on the CWDS website, describes the Financial Management functionality included in V1. Functionality planned for releases beyond V1 has not yet been defined.

Q: If the new ERR00002 form is developed, who will own and manage it going forward?

A: There is currently no form with that number on the CDSS website or in the CWS-CARES Forms Tracker. CDSS and the Project will develop a process to maintain all CDSS forms following Go-Live.

Q: Are assessments generated in CARES and approved in P-CIS?

A: CWS-CARES sends the data required to generate the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessment to the Person-Centered Intelligence Solution (P-CIS). The assessment itself is generated, completed, and approved in P-CIS.

Q: Which Extended User Scenario Testing (EUST) iteration will counties see Opeeka/IP-Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) in?

A: The Integrated Practice Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (IP-CANS) functionality, delivered through Opeeka, will be available in End User Scenario Testing (EUST) 3.
