Frequently Asked Questions
Training
Q: Can County Admins assign additional Enablement programs to Staff if desired? If not, how do we request that when needed?
A: County Administrators will not have the ability to assign enablement programs, but each user can self-enroll in any of the enablement programs.
Q: Is there a way to tell which one you've completed already from the list of Enablement Programs list?
A: Yes, each person will be able to see which ones they've completed and then there will be a dashboard to show overall completion for everyone.
Q: When will the quick guides be available?
A: The first set of quick guides will be available with Production Simulation access. Quick Guides will continue to be added throughout Train-the-Trainer (TTT) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) as they are approved.
Q:In CWS-CARES, if there are no apps in our dashboard anymore, does that mean that our access was revoked?
A: Users are encouraged to attend office hours to troubleshoot any issues or email their regional support inbox. There is also a training support inbox available if this is in regards to the training environment.
Q: How will the trainers be available to begin end-user Instructor-led training beginning on August 3, 2026, if Train-the-Trainer (TTT) isn’t finishing until mid-August?
A: The Project is looking at the sessions for Train-the-Trainer (TTT) that occur in August and ensuring they don't overlap with those same organizations that will be starting end user training. The Project plans to have a staggered approach for this training program.
Q: Train the Trainer (TTT) begins June 16, and staff will start their 40-hour online training. We plan for our TTT participants to attend the 80-hour Instructor-Led Training (ILT), but it is very likely that, due to coverage issues, some participants will be absent for certain days or hours. Will this be an issue?
A: Train-the-Trianer has now been shifted to take place from July 20 - August 28. We ask that you reach out to your CWS-CARES Training Lead or Representative and work with them on any scheduling difficulties or missed sessions.
Q: When will the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) training dates be solidified and provided to the counties?
A: Train-the-Trainer (TTT) will now be conducted from July 20 to August 28, 2026, shifted from the original July 6th to August 14 timeline.
Q: Can you briefly define "enablement" within CWS-CARES?
A: Enablement Programs in CWS-CARES are built-in, onscreen training guides that walk users through tasks with step-by-step instructions displayed on the right side of the screen. They help employees learn by doing, allowing them to follow the prompts directly inside the system as they complete real workflows.
Q: How long is the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) training?
A: There are two groups for Train-the-Trainer (TTT) with a group of facilitators and trainers who will be helping deliver training prior to Go-Live. The facilitators in TTT will have a two-week program that completes all classroom curriculum in the first week, with the second week including opportunities on where they'll be scheduled to practice the teaching and understand how to deliver the materials.
