As we wrap up the statewide Zscaler deployment, the CWDS Infrastructure Operations Team would like to provide a final update regarding the transition away from the Cisco AnyConnect Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution.
Effective March 1, 2026, Cisco AnyConnect will be removed from all CWS/CMS workstations. All remote users should now be using CWDS‑Zscaler for secure connectivity and access to CWS/CMS resources.
What This Means for Users
- No action is required at this time if users are already logged in and operating through Zscaler.
- Beginning March 1, 2026, the Cisco AnyConnect application will no longer be available or supported on State‑issued CWS/CMS workstations.
- Remote access, internet access, and security filtering will continue through CWDS‑Zscaler and Okta authentication.
