The CWDS Office is receiving reports that users are facing issues accessing CARES-Live Application with the Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) browser. Currently, the CARES-Live team is working to resolve this issue; however, we recommend to use another web browser (e.g., Chrome or MS Edge) to launch the CARES-Live application as a workaround until the issue is resolved.

Updated R9.0, R9.2, and R9.2 CWS/CMS Release Schedule - Update
All SPOCs, Technical Contacts, and Training Contacts:
UPDATE: The CWDS Executive Leadership Team has finalized the CWS/CMS Release 9.2 (R9.2) dates, moving out the timeline from the tentative schedule mentioned in the January 30, 2023, communication. The additional time will allow for R9.2 to be fully developed and tested using the C# code prior to the go-live date. The updated R9.2 schedule is:
Release 9.2 (R9.2)
The R9.1 schedule is unchanged.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
The CWDS Office and IBM continue to work on resolving all C# testing defects discovered during the Testing Phases. All critical and high defects, including those found in the County Test Workshop (CTW), have been resolved and IBM now is focusing their efforts on the remaining low to medium defects. To prevent rolling out R9.0 before it is ready and to allow for planning for production pilot and additional testing of R9.1 in C# code, the CWDS Executive Leadership Team has decided to move the go-live date for R9.0. However, knowing that Orgs have been waiting for other CWS/CMS development, the following decisions have been made:
Release 9.1 (R9.1)
Release 9.2 (R9.2)
CWDS is still determining the final release date for R9.2. Communications will be shared when the R9.2 details have been finalized.
Action Required

Please install the software listed above on every workstation identified as participating in the R9.0 Pilot prior to pushing the R9.0 code to the workstation. Remember, the plan is to have 15% of your County’s workstations participating in the Pilot during the first week.
FYI, the R9.0 will be staged during the evening of Friday, December 30, 2023, at the earliest. As a reminder, The Pilot begins on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. The R9.0 Pilot County – Technical Readiness Call is scheduled for 2:00 PM on that same date.

End use of Internet Explorer (IE) 11 with CWS/CMS and CARES-Live - UPDATE
All SPOCs, Technical Contacts, and Training Coordinators:
On October 12, 2022, a communication was sent to all SPOCs and Technical Contacts regarding a work around for opening the CWS/CMS Training Portal directly within the preferred web browser since IE11 is out of support from Microsoft.
The CWDS Project is planning to end support of IE11 in early 2023 for CWS/CMS and CARES-Live.
The CWDS Project is currently exploring Microsoft Edge as the possible browser to use instead of IE11. However, we would like to ask all counties to provide additional information, which will be useful in planning the next steps.
We have prepared a form to solicit that feedback from all counties regarding the use of IE11 for both CWS/CMS and CARES-Live applications.
Link to Form: IE11 Query Form
We are asking for a quick turnaround on this request for information. Please submit your responses no later than November 15, 2022.
