The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance windows to perform a necessary IOS upgrade on network equipment in impacted counties. This upgrade is needed to correct a discovered software vulnerability.
CDT has scheduled the maintenance windows for Lassen County and Mariposa County for Thursday, August 17, 2023, beginning at 7:00 PM and concluding at 11:00 PM. During the maintenance window the following services will be impacted while CDT performs the upgrade:
- Probation users’ access to the CWS/CMS application, via SBC (both the https://cwstoken.access.ca.gov and the https://cws-internal.access.ca.gov sites are impacted)
- Probation users’ access to the CARES-Live application (https://cognitoprod.cwds.ca.gov)
- CWS/CMS users’ access is not impacted to either the CWS/CMS application nor the CARES-Live application
CWS/CMS Users

CARES-Live Users
If users experience any issues with CARES-Live, please follow your county process for reporting issues. CARES-Live County Administrators may contact the CARES Service Desk through the CWDS ServiceNow Customer Support Management (CSM) Portal at https://cwds.service-now.com/csm.
