CARES-Live Training Environment Scheduled Maintenance – September 2, 2022 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

All SPOCs and Training Contacts:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Training Environment on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This scheduled maintenance is to upgrade the Training Environment to the CARES-Live 2.8.20 version. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.

Action Required
If users experience any issues with the CARES-Live Training Environment, please follow your county process for reporting issues. CARES-Live County Administrators may contact the CARES Service Desk through the CWDS ServiceNow Customer Support Management (CSM) Portal. California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching

ALL SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers. The patching window begins on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 06:00 AM. The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website, the CWS/CMS website, and the CWS/CMS Portals website during the patching window.

Action Required

If users experience any issues with the CWDS website or the CWS/CMS Portals website, please follow your county process for reporting issues or you may contact the IBM Boulder Help Desk at 1-800-428-8268.

CWS-CARES Scheduled Maintenance – September 2, 2022 | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

All Pilot County RFA Implementation Coordinators and SPOCs:
The CWS-CARES team has scheduled maintenance activity for the CWS-CARES production environment for Friday, September 2, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. During the maintenance window, the CWS-CARES Resource Family Approval (RFA) Application Submission, Review, and Approval Process will remain accessible for pilot counties Contra Costa, Fresno, Placer, and Santa Clara. However, document generation functionality will not be available for CWS-CARES users during this maintenance window.

CARES-Live 2.8.20 Production Release – August 25, 2022 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
EFFECTIVE AUGUST 25, 2022, CARES-Live 2.8.20 RELEASE IS SCHEDULED TO MOVE INTO PRODUCTIONThe CARES-Live team has scheduled release activity that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The release activity will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022, and conclude at 9:00 PM. During this release, the CARES-Live team will focus on application changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application during the scheduled outage.

  • The goal of this release is to provide ongoing CARES-Live maintenance, stabilization and security updates, including the mitigation and remediation of Log4j vulnerabilities.

Dedicated County State Proxy Scheduled Maintenance - August 23, 2022 | 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM

All Dedicated County SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The CWDS Infrastructure Team will perform maintenance on a Dedicated County State Proxy on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The maintenance window begins at 5:00 PM and concludes at 11:00 PM. Dedicated County users are expected to experience a loss of service (internet access) during the update activities. Concurrent Counties are not affected by this maintenance.
Loss of internet access may impact connectivity to the CARES-Live application during the scheduled maintenance window.
