California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching- March 25-26| 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

All SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers. The patching window begins on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 06:00 AM. The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website, the CWS/CMS website, and the CWS/CMS Portals website during the patching window.

Action Required
If users experience any issues with the CWDS website, the CWS/CMS website, or the CWS/CMS Portals website please follow your county process for reporting issues or you may contact the IBM Boulder Help Desk at 1-800-428-8268.

 

CWS-CARES Readiness and Training Environment Scheduled Maintenance - March 17, 2022| 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

All Pilot County RFA Implementation Coordinators: 
CWDS had scheduled maintenance to the CWS-CARES Readiness and Training Environments for this evening, Thursday, March 17. The work is expected to begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM. Users will not be able to access the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Reports in the CWS-CARES Readiness and Training environments during the scheduled outage.

Action Required 

If users experience any issues with the CWS-CARES Readiness and Training Environments, please follow your county process for reporting issues. CDT has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live Production Environment on Saturday, March 19, 2022. The work is expected to begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Production Environment during the scheduled outage.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application during the scheduled outage.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – SBCS Infrastructure Servers Security Patching – February 26, 2022| 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

All SPOCs, Technical Contacts, and SBC Administrators:
UPDATE:  This update corrects the date of the scheduled maintenance. The patching will occur on Saturday, February 26, 2022 instead of the previously stated 2021 date in the previous communication.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Saturday, February 26, 2022, beginning at 6:00 AM and concluding at 10:00 AM.  During the maintenance window, CDT will apply Standard Monthly OS Security Patches to SBCS Infrastructure Servers. There is no anticipated outage for this maintenance; however, CDT is asking that everyone log off from the Citrix SBC system, if not actively using it during the maintenance window.

This scheduled maintenance is to upgrade the Training Environment to the CARES-Live 2.8.17 version. Users will not be able to access the CARES-Live Training Environment during the scheduled outage.

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance on January 30, 2022| 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM – CORRECTION

CORRECTION:  The communication has been revised to reference the correct time in the “Action Required”.

CDSS will be performing maintenance activities on Sunday, January 30, 2022, that will impact the Facility Search functionality in the CARES-Live application. The work is expected to begin at 4:00 AM and conclude at 8:00 AM. During this time, users may encounter an error when performing searches in Facility Search as the CALS API may not be able to connect to any of the back-end servers and databases.
