CARES-Live Scheduled Outage for Saturday, February 29, 2020| 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

To all CWS/CMS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts, and CARES-Live SPOCs:

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance window is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020, beginning at 6:00 AM and concluding at 10:00 AM. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

Action Required

If users experience any issues with CARES-Live, please follow your county process for reporting issues or you may contact the CARES Service Desk at 1-855-292-3444 or via email at Servicedesk@cwds.ca.gov during normal business hours. You may also email after hours and a Service Desk representative will contact you the next business day.

 

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor AT&T Scheduled Maintenance- March 7-8, 2020| 9:00 PM-4:00 AM

To the County CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts in Sierra and Yolo Counties:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance, beginning on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 9:00 PM and concluding on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at 4:00 AM. Users at the listed sites will experience an interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live for the entire seven-hour scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching- February 28-29, 2020| 7:00 PM-6:00 AM

To All County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers. The patching window begins on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 06:00 AM. The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the patching window.

No disruption in connectivity is anticipated for the CWDS website (http://cwds.ca.gov/).

CWDS Will Continue to Support CARES-Live

To the all CWS Directors, CWS and Probation SPOCs and Core Constituents :

Great news!

The CWS-CARES Board of Directors has approved continued State support of CARES-Live for users. CWDS will continue to support and maintain the Child Welfare History Snapshot, Facility Search and CANS.

Since November of last year, we have seen steady growth of user adoption and have received great feedback from users that these tools enhance efficiency and effectiveness for the users. We would like to thank the project team for their commitment and our county partners for their continued engagement.

We will continue to support implementation efforts, facilitate learning opportunities and make ourselves available to provide demonstrations. Please contact CARES-Live@osi.ca.gov to request a demonstration and reach out to our Implementation team at CWDSImplementation@osi.ca.gov for assistance with implementing in your counties.

We are grateful for the show of commitment by the Board and we look forward to our continued partnership with the counties as together we increase user adoption of CARES-Live throughout the state.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance- February 21, 2020| 12:01 AM-6:01 AM

To the County CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts in Modoc and Trinity Counties:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Friday, February 21, 2020, beginning at 12:01 AM and concluding at 6:01 AM. Users at the listed sites will experience a sixty-minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance - RESCHEDULED

UPDATE: The CGEN Vendor Verizon maintenance, originally scheduled for February 10th has been rescheduled. The new maintenance window is Saturday, February 15, 2020, beginning at 12:01 AM and concluding at 11:59 PM. Users at the listed sites will experience four (4) thirty-minute interruptions in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Monday, February 10, 2020, beginning at 12:01 AM and concluding at 7:00 AM. Users at the listed sites will experience multiple thirty-minute interruptions in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.

Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance window is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM and concluding at 10:00 PM. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

SBCS clients are unable to authenticate through Login Portals - RESTORED

All County SPOCs and SBC Administrators:

UPDATE: Citrix users now able to authenticate through login and all access to SBCS portals has been restored.

The California Department of Technology Citrix Service reported that some Citrix users were unable to authenticate through login. CDT is working to resolve this issue.

Snapshot Search Results Issue

An issue has been identified with the search feature in Snapshot, intermittently causing a delay in displaying search results and returning undesired results. The CARES-Live development team is actively troubleshooting the issue. Updates will be provided to counties as ongoing troubleshooting occurs. We appreciate your patience as we work through expeditiously coming to a solution to address the issue.
