California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – WAN Router Operating System Update August 16, 2020| 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM

To all County CWS SPOCs and Technical Contacts:
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Sunday, August 16, 2020, beginning at 02:00 AM and concluding at 05:00 AM.  Because the maintenance is being performed on a redundant path, CWS/CMS and CWS-CARES users are not expected to be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.  This bulletin is being shared as an ‘FYI only’ in the unlikely case an issue does arise.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

Action Required
FYI only.  No action for CWS/CMS or CWS-CARES is expected.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CGEN Vendor Verizon Scheduled Maintenance August 20, 2020| 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM

To all CWS SPOC and Technical Contact in Colusa County:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance on Thursday, August 20, 2020, beginning at 12:00 AM and concluding at 6:00 AM.  Users at the listed site will experience a ten minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

California Department of Technology Service Desk Bulletin – CalCloud Windows Tenant Patching July 31 – August 1, 2020| 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

To all County CWS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts:

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled security patching of the CalCloud Windows servers.  The patching window begins on Friday, July 31, 2020, at 7:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 06:00 AM.  The patching activity will cause intermittent interruptions in connectivity to the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/) and the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) during the patching window.

Action Required
If users experience any issues with the CWDS website (https://cwds.ca.gov), the CWS/CMS website (https://www.hwcws.cahwnet.gov/), or the CWS/CMS Portals website (https://cwscms.osi.ca.gov/) please follow your county process for reporting issues or you may contact the IBM Boulder Help Desk at 1-800-428-8268.

 

CARES-Live Scheduled Maintenance July 30, 2020| 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

To all SPOC’s and Technical Contacts:
The CARES-Live team has scheduled maintenance to the CARES-Live application. The maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During this scheduled maintenance the CARES-Live team will focus on application maintenance changes that are not visible to CARES-Live users. During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance beginning on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 9:00 PM and concluding on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 5:00 AM.  Users at the listed sites will experience a twenty-five minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) has scheduled maintenance beginning on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 9:00 PM and concluding on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 6:00 AM.  Users at the listed sites will experience a thirty minute interruption in connectivity to CWS/CMS and CARES-Live within the scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) window.
Remote access (e.g., Server Based Computing [SBC]) to the CWS/CMS application will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance.

CARES-Live Scheduled Outage for Saturday, July 25, 2020| 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM

To all CWS/CMS and Probation SPOCs and Technical Contacts, and CARES-Live SPOCs:
In support of the CWS/CMS Release 8.11, the CARES-Live team has scheduled an outage that will interrupt connectivity to the CARES-Live application. The outage is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  During the scheduled outage users will not be able to access the CARES-Live application.

CARES-Live Customer Support Contact Change

To all SPOCs, Probation and Technical Contacts:

EFFECTIVE July 15, 2020 CARES-Live support inquiries should be directed to the CWDS Customer Relations email CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov

The CWDS Implementation team will be transitioning county support inquiries for the CARES-Live application to the CWDS Customer Relations team. The CWDS Implementation team will redirect their focus to begin planning activities in support of future CWS-CARES. Counties should redirect any email inquiries related to CARES-Live that they would of sent to the Implementation Mailbox to the CWDS Customer Relations Mailbox CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov.Counties should continue to send any Implementation specific inquiries to the Implementation Mailbox CWDSImplementation@osi.ca.gov.Problems or issues related to CARES-Live should continue to be sent to the CARES-Live Service desk at Servicedesk@cwds.ca.gov.
For CARES-Live demo request, counties should continue to direct those request to CARES-Live@osi.ca.gov.

Effective July 15, 2020 Counties should redirect any CARES-Live inquiries to the Customer Relations email at CWS_CustRel@osi.ca.gov.
